On 3 October 2011 Modern Art Oxford launched 50:50, an online celebration of 50 years of exhibition making. 50:50 marks the beginning of the Gallery's programme of activity working up to its 50th anniversary in 2015. Artists Simon & Tom Bloor were invited to select 50 posters from the Gallery's archive, with one poster released daily on the 50:50 site over 50 days.
A small group of students from Abingdon and Witney College were asked to respond to 50:50 and take part in the Get Digital 50:50 Project.
Working in partnership with Modern Art Oxford's Learning & Partnerships team, Creative Junction and artist Iona Fabian the students created digital animations, which are be presented on 50:50.
